Data Logging System
The Data Logging System (DLS) is a generic commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware solution for automating the crew’s Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) engineering logging responsibilities. The system provides the capability to capture signal readings and generate customized logs populated at a given periodicity. Additionally, the DLS provides users with a troubleshooting tool to analyze signal readings over a given period. This tool provides the user with a graphical and tabular representation of the data. DLS is a unique, tablet-based solution with a generic architecture allows the system to capture and analyze any piece of real-time data.
Sensor Database Generator : Provides the ability to extract historical data from transit archives, and to parse it into a usable format with the DLS interface. This data can be used by DLS for troubleshooting & referencing purposes.
Troubleshooting Tool : Allows users to visualize data gathered from the Generator or directly from the DLS Server. The user may select a collection of signals along with the desired date range to display all of the readings that were gathered during that period of time.
Engineering Logger : Provides users with functionality to view, edit, and review the Engineering logs, which are used to track changes for the the propulsion and electrical plants.
Bell Logger : Provides users with functionality to view, edit, and review the Bell logs, which are used to track changes for all ordered speed changes for propulsion.
